How to make a payment

Hi and welcome to the Taxrise Client Portal video tutorial series. Today we are going to be reviewing how clients can use the Taxrise Client Portal to make a payment. 


Making a payment requires clients to be logged into the Client Portal. If you are having difficulty logging in, please try watching our other video tutorials on how to Login to the Taxrise Client Portal. 


Now, let's imagine I've logged into my Client Portal account, I have uploaded the necessary documents after speaking with my Settlement Officer and Case Manager. Now I want to make a payment to stay current with the balance of my account and ensure that the Taxrise team continues to work hard to resolve my Tax Liability with the IRS and State. 


So, lets re-enact that scenario. 


First we need to navigate to the Client Portal. Let's enter the Taxrise Client Portal URL in the web browser. That URL is client.taxrise.com. 


Now let's Sign In to our account. We've already sign-up and Verified our email by clicking the Verify Button in the original Sign Up email. To Sign in we will enter our Case ID and password then we click Sign In. 


Now once inside the Client Portal we arrive at the Dashboard. From the dashboard we will use the navigation on the left hand rail of the web application. Let's find the Payments tab. This is where we will be able to make a payment, select the amount we want to pay, select our payment method, add a new payment method, and finally make a payment. 


Say you want to check your Payment History, we can do that from the Payments tab in the Client Portal. Let's take a look at it now. 


Step 1: navigate to the Payments Tab

Step 2: click on History tab in the Center of the Header. 

Step 3: View the history of your payments. 

Step 4: Return to the Current payments page by clicking Current in the center of the header. 


Wonderful, we are moving through the Client Portal with ease. 


Now let's make a payment. 


Step 1: Navigate to the Payments Tab

Step 2: Check my Amount Due

Note: I do not have any amount due for this account, but we will proceed for demonstration purposes. You may actually have an Amount Owed so your values will likely differ from what is on the screen now. 

Step 3: Click the Make a Payment Button in the center of the page. 

Step 4: Select the Amount I want to pay 1) Total Balance 2) Other

Step 5: Select the Payment method

Note: I can use a payment method that was previously saved or I can add a new payment method. Real quick let's take a look at adding a new payment method. By clicking on Add a Payment Method I can navigate to the appropriate page. Click on Credit or Debit Card. Enter in the Card details and click Add Payment Method. 
Now let us back out a few screens by clicking the back button in the upper left of the header. 

Step 6: Make a payment in Client Portal.
